Floating Seal maintenance

Floating Seal is an essential part of the combustion system. It is located on the TP’s aft end, where it connects to the turbine body.

Due to the extreme heat and vibration in the combustion chamber, cracks can often occur on this part. These damages require welding repair. In addition, due to the high heat of welding, it is necessary to check the contours of these pieces and if necessary cold forming should be applied. Tungsram obtained extensive practice and expertise in both welding repairs and cold forming processes.
